What You’ll Improve
Volleyball defense decides every rally. In our Sacramento-based clinics, youth athletes (ages 11–18) learn how to control serve receive, anticipate attacks, and stabilize the first ball contact. With elite libero techniques, players build confidence to hold the line — even under pressure.
Training Formats
We offer multiple formats so players can get exactly what they need. Private sessions (1:1) provide tailored libero coaching that runs 60–75 minutes, allowing for personalized feedback and rapid improvement. For athletes who prefer to train with peers, small groups of 2–4 players are available, simulating game-like passing situations with focused guidance. Training is held in Sacramento, most often at Capital Sports Center and other local gyms.
Who It’s For
This program is designed for dedicated Liberos and Defensive Specialists (DS), as well as Outside Hitters who want to improve their passing skills. We also work with club and high-school athletes looking to refine their defensive technique, and beginners who are ready to build a strong foundation in ball control and positioning.
Local Areas We Serve
Our libero and defense training serves athletes across the Sacramento region, including Roseville, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Rancho Cordova, Davis, and West Sacramento.
CLINIC FORMAT
Our volleyball clinics in Sacramento are designed to maximize player growth by combining structured sessions with real-time feedback. Each clinic maintains small groups of up to 8 athletes, giving players more touches on the ball and direct feedback from the coach.
Sessions run 60–75 minutes and are scheduled on weekends — typically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday blocks — to accommodate busy school and club schedules.
We serve middle school and high school athletes (ages 11–18) who want to improve their all-around game, from serve receive and defense to attacking and volleyball IQ.
Clinics are led by Coach Chris Mah, a former nationally ranked No. 1 libero in the U.S. with more than 30 years of elite defensive and player-development experience.
Our Sacramento volleyball training clinics are built to develop elite libero and defensive skills that set players apart on the court. Athletes master the fundamentals of serve receive, reaction speed, footwork efficiency, and defensive reads — the skills that consistently decide high-pressure matches.
Every weekend, we run small-group training sessions focused on serve-receive reps, first-step timing, and platform angles. By keeping groups limited to 4 athletes, players receive real-time feedback and more quality touches on the ball. This format helps athletes sharpen instincts, read servers earlier, and execute defensive plays with confidence.
If you’re searching for youth volleyball clinics in Sacramento that go beyond general skills training, our Elite Libero & Defense Clinic is built specifically for back-row specialists (ages 11–18). Whether your athlete is preparing for middle school, high school, or club volleyball, this program delivers the private volleyball training Sacramento players need to excel in competitive matches.
